No God, no peace…KNOW GOD, KNOW PEACE 12/19/16

No Jesus No peace. KNOW JESUS, KNOW PEACE!
No Jesus No peace. KNOW JESUS, KNOW PEACE!

Did you ever receive an incredible gift, from what seems out of nowhere? Many times this will come from a family member, a friend or even what some call fate. I’m talking about the kind of thing that takes your breath away upon the receiving or the realization that your problem is solved, fixed, resolved or not even a factor anymore.

This is the condition of every repentant confessed believer in Christ. There is utter peace and comfort beyond words in the knowledge of the Gift of Salvation.

Counter-intuitive to everything that this world requires and demands of us, all the striving, effort, laboring, none of it is required for the receiving of His gift. In fact, the greatest joy in my life is the knowledge that I did nothing to deserve or earn the tremendous gift that is mine for all eternity. Yes, it is also very humbling. Whenever we get ahead of ourselves we need only remember this very sobering fact, there is nothing we can ever do to justify ourselves other than to surrender to God’s grace, purpose and will.

Long before we ever needed or wanted God, He pursued us. It is His knowledge and Grace & Love over our lives that even makes it possible for us to commune with Him. Without His touch upon our stony hearts, we can’t even begin to receive Him.

I know there are a lot of people, who might feel down or depressed at this time of year. Feeling that they may not have enough to go around, desiring to give gifts and also challenged to meet responsibilities at the same time. It is precisely why God placed this on my heart to share.

God is the giver of good gifts. He is able to deliver and exceed expectations. I want to remind you that there is no greater gift than that of peace of mind. That warm fuzzy feeling that accompanies the indwelling Holy Spirit. It’s the one thing that the rest of the world attempts to create, purchase or steal and they can’t. They seek it in a million different ways and lead lives of subtle to severe desperation. No matter what they accomplish, acquire or gain, it never quite satisfies.

This year, no matter what you buy or send anyone, do this one thing, please. Pray! Pray for that person, pray over the item that you are gifting them. Ask our Heavenly Father, to give to them the same peace that you enjoy! I have a long held prayer for a friend, that her loved one would embrace the Lord. I know it’s the same wish and prayer that she prays every day.  I too pray for several family members, friends and even those that the world would consider enemies, but I do not. I see them as placed by the Lord for a reason and a season. If nothing else, I am to pray for them.

We are children of the King, heirs to His eternal riches and glory. Does this even resonate with you? Have you ever gone on a trip and packed just a few items or enough to get you through the journey? Of course, you can relate. Did you get half way through the trip, look at your suitcase and say, “I am broke, I have nothing, how am I going to survive life when all I have is this?” Well, that would be silly right?….In general, we are in a mass state of forgetfulness. This life, this journey is a short segment. All we need is waiting for us at home. Our Father can send to us, whatever it is we may need while we are on the journey. It’s just a faith-filled prayer away!

There isn’t a person I know of that doesn’t wish for or want world peace, well, know you know who grants it. Time to get busy praying!

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
