God implores us that we need to trust and rely on Him daily for our Bread. Surely, this is not just limited to the morsels we require for sustaining our stomachs. His directives to us are laser focused and geared toward the right now, present moment. A vulnerable spot according to the world, but not according to Him, as this is where He wants us to be and fully reliant on Him!
Naturally, our entire existence seems to be geared toward the opposite. We are either reliving past accomplishments, regretting past mistakes or planning some future acquisition (and quite often, mingling fears into those future plans) Interestingly, we never fear the past. Its the “future” that seems to be the devils playground. This is why God warns us that sufficient for the day are the troubles thereof (Matthew 6:34) Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
It takes mental and spiritual muscle to stay in the moment. Like walking a tight rope. It’s one foot in front of the other. It’s also walking in faith, stepping forward when you don’t know where the rest of the rope is going to appear from.
Can you start doing this today? Yes, you must. Today is all we really have now, isn’t it?! Take Him at His word.
- Psalms 33:4. For the Word of the Lord is right and true; He is faithful in all He does. …
- Proverbs 3:5. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. …
- Isaiah 41:10. So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. …
But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles, they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
I am with you and will watch over you wherever you go, and I will bring you back to this land. I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you.
2 CORINTHIANS 4:18
So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion, which cannot be shaken but endures forever.
1 JOHN 5:14-15
This is the confidence we have in approaching God; that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us – whatever we ask – we know that we have what we asked of him.
But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.
Heavenly Father, under the blood covenant of the Lamb we surrender our plans and our fears, we come to You seeking Your Provision, Guidance and Solace. Teach us to trust in You with Faith and ease our burdens with Your peace. Lead us into the communion of partnership, where You equip us unto every good work. Thank You for Your discernment over this and lead those to this who are seeking a better way and having struggles in every direction. On Jesus name, your Holy Magnificent Son, Our Lord and Savior Yehushua Hamashiach.
